Department of Preventive Medicine - Infection Control

PREVENTIVE MEDICINE GROUP

• Implement professional and technical activities on occupational hygiene management, workers' health, occupational diseases, occupational accident prevention, food safety and hygiene, epidemic prevention and building a safe working community.
• Direct, guide and supervise the implementation of preventive medicine work.
• Communication, education and health consultation for workers.
• Coordinate with functional departments to organize and implement occupational health examinations for Vietsovpetro employees.
• Coordinate with relevant functional departments of the Executive Board and leaders of member enterprises of Vietsovpetro Joint Venture to conduct inspection, examination and evaluation of activities in the assigned field.
• Manage staff in the department, reward, discipline and manage department assets according to the provisions of law.
• Implement the statistical and reporting regime according to the provisions of law on preventive medicine of the Medical Center and Vietsovpetro Joint Stock Company.
• Operate solid medical waste treatment system, control the operation of medical liquid wastewater treatment system.

INFECTION CONTROL GROUP

• Develop periodic and annual infection control plans to submit to the Infection Control Council for review before the Director approves and organizes implementation.
• Be the focal point for developing regulations and procedures for infection control based on the general regulations and guidelines of the Ministry of Health and submit them to the Director of the Health Center for approval and implementation.
• Act as a focal point to coordinate with relevant departments and divisions to monitor infection control work, including: Detecting and receiving reports of healthcare-related infections from clinical departments and bacterial culture results from the microbiology laboratory (Department of CDHA-Testing), and proposing timely intervention solutions.
• Together with the KSNK network, monitor infection control work in the health center. Check and urge staff, employees, patients, patients' relatives and visitors to comply with infection control regulations in medical examination and treatment.
• Propaganda, training, scientific research, cooperation with Russian clinics.
• Manage and supervise disinfection, sterilization, laundry activities, provide sterile instruments, disinfectants, sterilization chemicals, fabrics and consumables for infection control work throughout the medical center.
• Monitoring, assessing, reporting occupational exposure and accidents related to microbial agents of physicians and health care workers.
• Participate with the microbiology department of the Department of Clinical Laboratory Medicine, the pharmacy department, and clinical departments to monitor antibiotic-resistant bacteria and use antibiotics appropriately.
• Coordinate with departments, offices, and members of the infection control network to detect and resolve issues related to infection control work.
• Organize training and guide departments/offices to comply with KSNK procedures.
• Nursing work: Working in the emergency department - Artificial kidney, Oriental medicine department - VLTL - Hyperbaric oxygen; Interdisciplinary department, Diagnostic imaging - testing department... under the assignment of the head nurse. Carry out patient care according to the orders of the department/room doctor, clean the assigned department/room.
• Ensure the exterior of the medical center is clean and beautiful.
• Manage cleaning and disinfection of funeral homes.
