The Department of Oriental Medicine - Physiotherapy - Hyperbaric Oxygen of Vietsovpetro Medical Center is a clinical department invested with spacious facilities, modern equipment, high-quality synchronous human resources and a scientific development strategy. Hyperbaric Oxygen Room

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a technique for patients to breathe pure oxygen at high pressure. When breathing pure oxygen, nitrogen gas in the alveoli is replaced by oxygen. When increasing the oxygen pressure in the breath to 2, 3, 4 atm, the oxygen partial pressure in the alveoli increases 14, 22, 30 times, respectively, compared to breathing air at atmospheric pressure.

In a high pressure environment, the amount of dissolved oxygen in the plasma increases proportionally to the partial pressure of oxygen in the alveoli, thereby increasing the oxygen capacity of body fluids (in adults, 60% of body weight is water), allowing a rapid increase in the amount of oxygen supplied to cells lacking oxygen.
